SPECIAL AWARDS The
jury members were free to give three awards on the subject of
their choice
For pioneering work and meaningful programs on
taboo topics such as men having sex with men and commercial sex
workers. This special prize goes to SENEGAL
For an innovative and comprehensive gender
program, covering legal changes, promotion of women mutual help
organizations, women empowerment on human rights, income
generating activities and promotion of female condoms. This
special prize goes to MOZAMBIQUE.
Last but not least, the Jury members found that
one poster scored high on substance and communication, with
country delegates engaging visitors, advocating with passion
and professionalism. They found that it was such an excellent
effort, they felt compelled to award, for the first time a
“GRAND PRIZE”: this GRAND
PRIZE goes to MAURITANIA.
