Amparo Palacios-López is a Development Economist in the Development Research Group of the World Bank. Her primary area of research is agricultural and rural development, with a focus on gender and welfare. As a member of the LSMS-ISA team, she backstops the project activities in Malawi, Tanzania and Uganda, and works on the analysis of the data from the Malawi Third Integrated Household Survey and Panel Subcomponent, Tanzania National Panel Survey, and Uganda National Panel Survey. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Agriculture and Resource Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park, and holds a M.S. in Agriculture and Resource Economics from the same university and a M.A. in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
